Phil’s a food enthusiast, and he like discovering unique local restaurants. He’s a fan of the taverna burgers at Dave’s Taverna, lasagna from the Thomas House Restaurant, and cake batter frozen yogurt with raspberries from Sweet Bee. One day he wants to open a restaurant. In his spare time, he enjoys creating websites and he played a minor role in developing this website.

Nick Ford is a visual artist/designer, video producer, and audio producer. As a senior Converged Media concentrator and music production minor, Nick headed the video team for SMADshow and co-produced the SMAD promotional video. In his free time, he records music, writes songs, and works on various art projects. Nick recently interned at Prefect Films in Los Angeles and worked as an in house graphic designer and production assistant. He hopes to peruse a career in the entertainment industry and media production.

James is a SMAD Converged Media major and an Art minor. When not on the computer he is busy slappin’ the bass and painting beautiful masterpieces. He also has a pretty sweet beard. This past summer he furthered his skills interning at L-3 STRATIS as a UI Designer for smart phone apps. He served as project manager and helped on the web team for the SMADshow project.

Gabe Kosowitz served as a project manager for SMADshow and is a senior SMAD major concentrating in Converged Media. He has furthered his studies with minors in both Sports Communication and Film Studies. In addition to his studies, Gabe has broadened his media knowledge through internships with the Baltimore Orioles and The University of Virginia’s Athletic Video Services Department. While working, he gained both hands on production experience and an insight into both internal and external communication practices. Upon graduating in May, Gabe hopes to apply his studies and previous work experience in some realm of the media industry.

Kate Mordecai is a senior SMAD major with a Converged Media concentration. With an interest in media as well as communication, she is pursuing minors in Studio Art and British Communication and Media. To further her academic experience, she has completed internships at Found, a design and marketing firm in Harrisonburg, VA and Monbro, a design firm in London, U.K. in which she was involved in media and design projects. After graduating in May 2012, she plans on entering the graphic design or marketing fields. In this project, Kate worked on the design, promotion, and content elements.
